I received my bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University and my law degree from Wayne State University. I started at Vandeveer Garzia as a law clerk in 1981, and in 1995 I became the youngest member ever to serve on the firm’s management committee. I served on the firm’s Board of Directors from 1994 to 2014. The Pre-trial Discovery Chapter of the Michigan Basic Practice Handbook was written by me. I have lectured for the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education. I am a mediator for the Wayne County Mediation Tribunal Association, and also serve as a private arbitrator. For the past seven years, I have been selected as a Michigan Super Lawyer and I hold the highest rating recognized by Martindale-Hubbell. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Insurance and Indemnity Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and I am currently on the Board of Directors of the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
